  12. I sit here looking at 2 Cardinal 28.8 external modems.  One with
  13. version 1.2, the other with 1.4.
  14.  
  15. Bottomline, the version 1.2 would connect  < 5% of the time at 28.8,
  16. and 26.4 all the time.
  17.  
  18. Version 1.4... well  >95% connects at 28.8 period.

  20. Testing side-by-side.  Time to upgrade...
